Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Will grew up in a creative household and from a young age was encouraged to pursue his artistic interests. After attending Myers Park High School, he headed for the mountains and enrolled at Appalachian State University. Officially he studied English and Psychology but most of his free time was spent learning about color theory, art history and running around town getting into trouble with graffiti. Inspired by the energy of city life, coupled with the relaxed approach of southern living, William enjoys juxtaposing ideas and colors in his work. A big fan of modern artists such as James Jean, David Choe and Dalek, Will also has a deep love for the leaders of the abstract movement as well. “I like mixing styles and techniques. You can always learn something from the people that came before you.”
Will’s art has been featured in galleries in Nashville, TN, Charlotte, NC and Denver, CO. His commissioned artwork can be seen in homes and businesses from Charlotte all the way out to Las Vegas. He has contributed work to the Hendersonville Arts Council in Hendersonville, TN and was recently chosen as a 2017 emerging artist for the Young Collectors Contemporary Art Fair in Memphis, TN.
